Educational leaders are being called to action daily in new and challenging ways as they work to create birth-to grade twelve systems that offer students continuity and pathways during uncertain times. MDE staff will overview the birth-grade three (P3) framework with its focus on developing relationships and practices that create alignment and coherence between early learning and K-12 educational systems. The session will introduce and overview newly produced materials focused on: building coherent comprehensive P3 systems, leading staff development, and ensuring successful transitions between systems, specifically focused on issues related to COVID-19. Discussion opportunities will center on P3 systems, learning trajectories and progressions, and successful strategies used by P3 districts across the state.
